"Art is what it means to be alive."
Painting.jpg

The process of creating art is what kept me alive throughout my younger years. As a child who struggled with disabilities, trauma, and selective mutism, I found that art was a way to express myself in a way that my voice simply could not. The aesthetic outcome of each piece didn't matter; being able to pour my emotions into a creative form filled my heart. There was something sacred about being able to turn off the outside noise, without expectations, and come out of it with something that I felt proud of.

What was once a therapeutic hobby has turned into an extreme passion for the arts. I am continuously developing my skills as an artist to create work that speaks to others on a level that words cannot. Our voices are beautiful mechanisms of communication, however to me, art is what it means to be alive. Each piece is filled with symbolism and left open to interpretation. My hope is for viewers to connect with the stories each piece holds, especially if it is their own.

I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2022 with a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art, and a double minor in Psychology and Contemplative Practices. My dream is to become an art therapist and specialize in diverse youth. This would allow me to be the person that I always needed when I was younger. Being able to help others, then coming home to continue my own practice, is all I could ever want. I hope that as you browse through my work, you can immerse yourself in the imagery and let it speak to you in whatever way you currently need.
